Laser machine
The Trumpf TruLaser 3030 is a essential piece of JB Engineering machinery. Firstly, it uses the latest fibre optics technology, which in return makes the laser machine extremely energy efficient. In relation to this, the fibre optics also makes the machine more accurate.
We have a committed JB laser team that incorporates CAD/CAM programmers, laser operatives and drivers.
Our CAD/CAM laser programmers have a frontline customer liaison role and can help you with your design needs, troubleshoot where required, or provide you with a quote.
The laser service technicians run and troubleshoot the laser machine in order to prepare customer products for delivery. Their top priority is to provide clean, burr-free, good quality parts within the agreed customer lead times.
Once we have processed your order, we aim to take no longer than 3-4 days for our laser cutting department to construct the product. A same day turnaround is possible upon request, but extra charges will apply

Our Trumpf TruLaser 3030 has a maximum cutting bed size of 3000mm x 1500mm.
It offers stainless steel cutting thickness up to 20mm, aluminium 20mm and mild steel 25mm; please see table below for more materials.
Typical parts we cut are gussets, plates, boxes, cylinders, lugs, annulus, discs, panels, frames, sprockets, cogs, trays, badges, cabinets, enclosures, paddles, cones, flanges, pipe brackets, plates, and boiler jackets. This list is not definitive and we always aim to accommodate customers’ requests.
Our customer list is linked to food, mining, construction, and other manufacturing sectors, we also have private customers, such as hobbyists. We have a reliable support network of contractors who cover the following industrial services: powder coating; galvanizing; turning; milling; mobile crane for heavy industrial lifts; lifting equipment testing (for beams); electrical installations (for machinery); and metal suppliers.
We can manufacture bespoke items as well as batch quantities. Over half of our laser profiling jobs are tailored to specific customer requirements.

Laser
Sheets of flat metal can be cut with stimulated energy and precision using the latest industrial laser technology. CAD/CAM designs are cut out using the latest laser technology. The end result is profile engineering that delivers on exact specifications and gives fast turnaround times.

Press Brake
At JB Engineering (Hatton) Ltd we use the AMADA HFE Mk2 130-3 press brake machine to bend aluminium, steel or stainless steel.
The AMADA HFE Mk2 130-3 can press up to 130 tonnes of pressure and has a 3m long bend. This is used to produce a vast range of products, including cabinets, step bending, stainless brackets and cones.
Laser Fabrication
The laser fabrication department covers the production of small to medium, single or batch fabrications. The department offers a turnkey production process which includes powder coating and machining. A historical stainless steel door stoppers project, covered five engineering processes, CAD, Laser profiling, Press Brake, Welding, and Polishing.
Delivery
We run a local daily delivery service, so that we can guarantee your order to be delivered on time. For deliveries outside our local area, there will be an extra charge.
Customer project support
Copies of our hardness tests certificates for laser customers construction projects are displayed here.
The test range is from 8mm to 25mm plate.
Material test cetificates can be supplied on request at the point of placing your order.
All orders placed are stored and saved electronically, making it easy to trace, access and repeat orders.
